I’ve designed this section to address the most common questions, compiling questions about purchasing, licensing, file quality and types, and printing recommendations. My goal is to ensure you have access to all the information you need to make your purchase with complete confidence.

If your question isn’t listed here, please contact me directly using the online form.

Purchase and Download

  • Q: What’s the purchasing process like? A: Choose the photo and license you need, and click Add to Cart. If this is your first purchase, we’ll guide you through completing your details and accessing the secure CaixaBank Redsys payment gateway. Once your payment has been validated, you’ll receive an email with a link to download the files from your private area on Fotos-Art.com.
  • Q: What payment methods do you accept? A: We currently accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Our payment process is very secure, as we use the CaixaBank Redsys encrypted payment gateway to protect all your personal information.
  • Q: How do I receive the photographs once I’ve made a purchase? A: Once payment has been successfully processed, you’ll receive an email with a link to download your photo files from your private area on Fotos-Art.com.
  • Q: How long do I have to download files? A: There is no time limit. Access to your files in your private area will be active permanently, so you can download them whenever you need. Please note that if you request the deletion of your account or if you violate the terms and conditions, you will lose this access.
  • Q: What should I do if I have problems with payment or downloading? A: If you have any problems with payment or downloading, please contact us immediately using the online form. We will help you resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Quality and Uses of Files

  • Q: In what formats and resolution are the photos delivered? A: Photos are delivered in two formats. For the Personal License, you’ll receive a 150 dpi JPG file. For the Commercial License, you’ll receive a 300 dpi TIFF file. Both are high quality, but the TIFF format offers the highest resolution, ideal for large-format prints.
  • Q: How big are the photos? A: The files are high quality, so their size can be considerable: up to 60 MB for JPG files and up to 100 MB for TIFF files. We recommend keeping this in mind if you download them to your mobile device.
  • Q: Do the photographs have a watermark or author’s signature? A: No. Once you purchase the photograph, you will receive a high-quality digital file without any watermark or author’s signature.
  • Q: How do I know if the image I purchase is suitable for large-format printing? A: For large-format prints, we recommend always using a 300 dpi TIFF file, as it’s optimized for this use. If you need advice on maximum dimensions, we recommend consulting your printer directly.
  • Q: Can I use the photo on my blog or social media? A: Yes, but under specific conditions. The Personal License allows you to share the image on your social media profiles or blog exclusively if:
    1. It is a personal and private account (not a company, brand, business, or monetized influencer account).

    2. The use is non-commercial (you are not using the photo to sell anything or promote services).

    3. You mandatorily credit/tag us (@fotosart_en or a link to fotos-art.com) in the post.

Note: If your profile represents a professional activity, store, personal brand with sales, or if you wish to use the image for advertising (Ads), email marketing, or corporate headers, you must acquire the Commercial License.

Licenses and Rights of Use

  • Q: What is the difference between a Personal License and a Commercial License? A: The Personal License is designed exclusively for private use and personal enjoyment. It allows you to use the digital file on your devices or print it to decorate your home or office, provided it is not for commercial purposes. The Commercial License is the highest quality option and grants rights for professional and business use, allowing the image to be used in advertising media, corporate websites, marketing, digital campaigns or publishing. For complete details of permitted uses, I recommend reviewing the Terms and Conditions of Fotos-art.com.
  • Q: Do I need a specific license for commercial use? A: Yes. Any use related to a professional or business activity, or that generates an economic benefit (direct or indirect), requires a Commercial License. The Personal License does not permit any type of commercial, promotional, or advertising use.
  • Q: Are the licenses exclusive? A: No. The licenses we offer are non-exclusive. Our model is based on accessibility and usability, not on a scarcity of “limited editions.” This means that the same photograph can be licensed by multiple clients simultaneously. If you need to secure exclusive rights to an image for a global campaign, please contact me directly to discuss your specific needs.
  • Q: Can I transfer my license to another person or company? A: No. Licenses are non-transferable. Once purchased, the usage rights belong solely to the purchaser (the individual or legal entity named on the invoice). You may not resell, give away, or transfer the file or its rights to third parties.

Impression

  • Q: Do you sell printed copies of photographs? A: No, at fotos-art.com we focus exclusively on selling digital files. This gives you the freedom to choose the type of print, size, and material that best suits your needs and budget.
  • Q: What type of paper or material do you recommend for printing? A: The choice of material will depend on the effect you’re looking for. For superior artistic quality, we recommend cotton papers like Hahnemühle Photo Rag. If you’re looking for a glossy finish and vivid colors, high-quality photographic paper is an excellent choice. If you prefer a modern and durable effect, acrylic glass is a great option. Other interesting formats for large surfaces include vinyl or custom wallpaper.
  • Q: Can you recommend a printing company? A: To find the best option in your area, I recommend searching Google for terms like “fine art printing [your country],” “large photo prints [your country],” or “large-format photo printing [your country].” This will help you find specialized local printers who can provide professional advice.
  • Q: Can I print the same photograph multiple times? A: The number of prints allowed depends on the license you have purchased. With the Personal License, you can make an unlimited number of copies for personal use. With the Commercial License, the number of prints and commercial use will be limited by the license terms.
  • Q: What should I consider before sending to print? A: Before sending to print, we recommend reviewing the printer’s technical specifications, such as preferred file formats, recommended resolutions, and color profiles. Keep in mind that with the Commercial License, you’ll have the flexibility to adapt the color and brightness of the photo to perfectly suit your printing needs.
